“Philosophers have been silenced, intellectuals have been silenced, scientists have been silenced; now, only the global elites are talking, with their cheeky, ugly and big mouths, and everyone is listening to them.”
Karl Popper’s “The Open Society and Its Enemies” published in 1945, aimed to glorify American and Western liberal values and to vilify communism and the USSR. Popper authored this book during a period when, after fascism and Nazism, the Iron Curtain and USSR’s oppressive and totalitarian politics began to present a threat against open and free society of Western civilization.
However, Popper did not foresee that the digital revolution started in the 1990s would emerge a new social class, (the global elites and their technological Titans) which will turn into a global dictatorship controlling and manipulating everything, everyone, every individual. This “alien entity” emerged from the bosom of Western society now began to swallow up the system that gave birth to it and everything outside itself like a black hole: It became hostile and ominous to the open society. [1]
Especially since 2018, these Titans (Facebook, Google, etc.) have been arbitrarily censoring, blocking, banning news, people, messages and blogs that they consider “sensitive” to their concerns and to the interest of global elites they serve. So, they secretly code all “sensitive” information under the pretext of disinformation or violation of their “community rules”, threatening their members, excommunicating them, blocking or closing accounts at any time.
In the Middle Ages, The Church, with its supra-state authority and immunity, was an artificial refuge for people to communicate all together. Now, in this “New Middle Age” the Church has been replaced by its digital incarnation “Titans” equipped with Inquisition-like powers, rules and sanctions, and the Holy Trinity replaced by the global elites.
The entire world is heading towards a two-class society. There is no more the bourgeois, the petty bourgeois, the proletariat: There are only untouchable elites and hordes of people.
This year, 236 more people joined the list of the world’s richest people in 2022 published by Forbes Economic Magazine, and the number rose to 2668. The net worth of each person on the list is over $1 billion.
This elite minority of 2668 people, which has taken over politics, religion, economy, finance, media, press and social media, also plan to usurp all the means of production and all property rights. In other words, in their future world no one will have a private house, a car, or a summer house, even a guitar, a piano, a stereo. Ordinary people will only be able to temporarily use property, securities or real estate only by leasing, but they will never own them, nor able to inherit them to their children. They will have no more the right and opportunity to acquire private property.
It takes an extremely high level of financial power to be accepted or to initiate in that group of elites. That is why, no matter which country they are in, politicians, bureaucrats, businesspeople, technocrats and a lot of cunning crooks are fervently trying to increase their wealth and join in that group by doing all kinds of corruption, without hesitation, without fear. Because they believe and are quite sure that there will be no going back, they will never be sentenced, prosecuted, trialed, judged or held responsible for their corruption.
We live the periodic digital version of Orwell’s “1984” and Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451” turning around the times and come to the same point in the temporal spiral sequence of the past.
According to Mepa News, on 6.7.2022, reported from “Popular Science” magazine, a brand-new artificial intelligence has been developed predicting future crimes. Data and social scientists at the University of Chicago have developed a new algorithm that predicts the crime using patterns of temporal and geographic locations from public data on violence and property crimes. Artificial intelligence can predict future crimes with approximately 90% accuracy a week in advance. Probably, this divine (!) algorithm could eventually be applied to all internet users, and that the potential culprit will be identified and arrested before he drafts his article or while he thinks about it, or even before he thinks about it.
Can we call such a world, such a system, a democracy? Can individual freedom exist in such a world? Can one speak of an “open society” where there is no individual freedom? Is not democracy the freedom to share knowledge, to have all kinds of information freely? Is not dictatorship the authority to control or censor all news and information keeping it in one hand? I am trying to warn everyone: Western civilization is under an irrevocable momentum of rapidly losing its structure and its quality of being the “open society”. Are we aware of this?
The global elites control communication, news and all kinds of information with their Titans. They do not give anyone the right to object, to choose, to appeal and to make decisions. This global gang wants to process and design information and news as they wish, to make us think from their own perspectives, to turn us into flesh robots who believe everything they say is true. They destroy not only knowledge, but also analytical thinking. We face a horrifying future.
Whether it is the elites, or the oligarchs, or their close fellas and supporters, or the Davos men, or the White Supremacists, the racists, the apartheidists, the Zionists, the Evangelists, political Islam, masonic and mafia organizations and the like, none of them do or can do anything useful for the Humans and Humanity: They only prioritize their own dirty interests and ambitions standing in solidarity with each other behind the scenes. They are dangerous and toxic to Humanity and Humanism.
I strongly suspect that there is something wrong, something dirty and malicious with even in their best-looking words, in their most humane, most useful proposals, plans, actions or discourses. For this reason, we must beware of them, be in constant and steady revolt and resistance against them.
The West successfully has liquidated USSR and communism, and the defenders of the “Open Society” won a great victory. Now the West must start the same battle against this global elites and digital Titans born from his bosom and gnaw it like a cancerous cell.
No matter what nation we are from, wherever we are, whether Turkish, French or American. We must always defend ourselves from the power of the global elites and cooperate with those who fight them. We have to do this to protect our open society, our civilization, our private property, our children’s future, our individual freedom and free thought.
